Hiking and mountaineering are some of the most popular activities for summer holidays in the Salzburg region. More than 195 km of optimally-marked paths provided in the hiking village Altenmarkt-Zauchensee vouch for this, and most of these start directly from our farm! Both pleasure hikers and real mountain enthusiasts will find something worthwhile whilst hiking at all altitudes. The popular themed hiking paths “Bauernregel” and “Mondpfad” will thrill families in particular and stop little hikers from getting bored!
Those spending their hiking holiday in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee can of course also join guided hikes, or quickly and easily reach high altitudes using the mountain lifts which are in operation during the summer. Incidentally: With your Salzburger Sportwelt Card, you will receive discounts for the use of mountain lifts! A further highlight of the region is the “cable car hiking” to the Gamskogelhütte lodge located at an altitude of 1,900 m!
